Software Tester (Intern)

The Software Tester intern will be a member of the Tech Application Devlivery – Quality Assurance team in BCS. He / She will report to the Test Manager or Test Team Lead in charge of the testing within the project. He/ She will be working with the business and technical units to devise the test objectives and perform quality testing.

• Prepare and maintain test specifications and test scripts (test scope, test scenarios, test conditions, test cases, test data and traceability matrix) as per the Functional Specifications and timeline.
• Review test specifications, test scripts and test results.
• Execute test cases, regression tests and confirmation tests according to test plan.
• Report test results and software defects/issues.
• Report status and progress to Test Lead / Manager on a regular basis.
• Execute follow-up test to ensure software defects/issues are resolved.
• Work closely with different teams to ensure issues are resolved and defects are fixed.
• Update the relevant documentations related to the project/change appropriately.

Requirements

• 3rd year/ Final year degree in computer science/Engineering or equivalent area of study

• Good understanding and experience in a SDLC (software development lifecycle) project implementation process

• Knowledge and hands-on experience on:

o Manual Testing

o Black Box Testing (Functional and Non-Functional)

• Have passion to learn automation testing:

o Automated Testing using Test Complete, Selenium

o Defect Management and Tools
