We are looking for a hands-on Contract Technologist to support bakery and snack application projects through baking, laboratory and pilot plant trials, sample preparation, data collection, and project execution activities.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct bakery and snack application trials in laboratory and pilot plant environments. Prepare formulations, ingredients, and samples for testing and evaluation.
- Independently prepare and bake products such as bread, cakes, cookies, crackers, and other baked goods for application testing and product evaluation.
- Record trial observations, collect experimental data, analyze data, and prepare basic technical reports and share with team members and project managers.
- Support product evaluations, customer sample preparation, and project activities as required.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, manage ingredients and sample, and comply with all laboratory and safety requirements.
- Support troubleshooting and optimization of formulations under the guidance of senior team members or project managers.
Mandatory requirements:
- Min Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in food product development, bakery operations, or food manufacturing, within the food industry.
- Must possess hands-on baking experience and be able to independently prepare, bake, and evaluate bakery products such as breads, cakes, cookies, crackers, and other baked goods. Experience in a commercial bakery, food manufacturing, or R&D environment is preferred.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable working in a laboratory and pilot plant environment, including standing for extended periods and handling food ingredients and equipment.

- Hands-on baking and food preparation skills.
- Knowledge of bakery ingredients and baking processes.
- Confident in using lab equipment for product analysis. Laboratory testing, and sample preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and execute trials independently.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of food safety and laboratory practices.
