Product Manager, Enterprise Cloud Security

Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- 3 years of experience with cloud security.
- 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
- 2 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within security, privacy, or a related area.
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in a technology or a business related field.
- 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
- 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
- 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
- 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with data security solutions, privileged access management, agent access management, or data protection systems.

We build security controls, provide critical security engineering and in-depth consulting for Alphabet’s usage of public clouds, third party vendors, enterprise SaaS and acquisitions and Other Bets, enabling Alphabet to innovate and operate securely and effectively across the expanding ecosystem.
Ensuring that we can do so easily is a top strategic priority. We are building the next generation of security controls to enable Alphabet to operate safely across these multi-cloud environments, balancing high-velocity innovation with rigorous protection against machine-scale threats.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
Responsibilities
- Build deep partnerships across Alphabet and Translate these insights and comprehensive threat-modeling risk scenarios into a cohesive Product outlook and long-term cloud security strategy.
- Own and execute a prioritized, multi-quarter product roadmap. Collaborate with PMs across PSS to design and deliver high-impact, cross-cutting solutions that mitigate complex security risks without compromising developer velocity.
- Define the enterprise-wide strategy for rolling out security policies and designing frictionless exception management workflows. Drive the product definition for advanced auto-remediation capabilities, ensuring guardrails are enforced seamlessly across the Alphabet footprint.
- Align highly complex, cross-functional workstreams Act as the central connector to steer multidisciplinary teams toward shared strategic goals and high-impact security outcomes.
- Partner closely with engineering leads to translate the product strategy into clear technical requirements. Co-design scalable architectures across multiple platforms and systems.
