Job Summary
The Student Care Manager oversees daily centre operations, leads staff, ensures regulatory compliance, manages parent relationships, and drives business growth to maintain high service standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the student care centre to ensure smooth routines for arrival, dismissal, meals, homework, and enrichment activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment aligned with regulatory and safety standards
- Deploy sufficient teaching and support staff daily to meet operational needs and promptly resolve operational issues and emergencies
- Recruit, train, coach, and supervise teachers and support staff to enhance team performance and maintain positive morale
- Conduct staff orientation, prepare work schedules and duty rosters, and monitor attendance, punctuality, and performance
- Monitor students’ academic progress, behaviour, and well-being by collaborating with teachers to provide individual support and ensure quality homework supervision
- Address student behavioural concerns professionally and develop programmes that promote holistic student development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents by handling enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and providing regular student progress updates
- Ensure compliance with MSF regulations and licensing requirements by maintaining accurate student and staff records and preparing for audits and inspections
- Implement centre policies and standard operating procedures to uphold quality assurance and workplace safety standards
- Plan and coordinate holiday programmes, enrichment activities, and centre events that are engaging, educational, and age-appropriate, including liaising with external vendors
- Oversee student enrolment, withdrawals, attendance records, daily reports, and maintain proper documentation and filing systems
- Monitor inventory of teaching materials and supplies, coordinate maintenance and procurement needs
- Manage centre budget and operational expenses, ensure timely fee collection and payment follow-up, assist in financial reporting, and control petty cash and purchasing within approved limits
- Support business development initiatives by conducting centre tours, participating in marketing and community outreach, developing strategies to improve student retention, and identifying growth opportunities
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Psychology, Business Management, or related disciplines
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Student Care Centre or Education Industry
- At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience managing teachers and daily centre operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of MSF Student Care Centre guidelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday (5-day work week)
- Availability to support occasional centre events or school holiday programmes
