Warehouse & Parts Sales Manager

Our client is looking for a hands-on and experienced Warehouse & Parts Sales Manager to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, stock accuracy, safety compliance, parts sales and customer support across multiple business units and entities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth warehouse operations, accurate ERP inventory transactions, effective stock control and continuous improvement in warehouse efficiency. This role will also oversee the Parts Sales function, including parts enquiries, quotations, sales orders, stock availability and customer support to ensure timely fulfilment for both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, issuance, withdrawal, transfer, return and dispatch of inventory.
- Oversee the storage and movement of vehicles, equipment, spare parts, consumables, accessories and operating supplies.
- Ensure all inventory movements and transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP system on a timely basis.
- Maintain inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations and ensure proper stock identification, labelling, traceability and documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock ageing, stock turnover, slow-moving and obsolete inventory, and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Establish and maintain minimum, maximum and reorder stock levels to support operational needs.
- Plan and lead cycle counts, annual stock takes, variance reconciliation and stock take reporting.
- Work closely with Finance and external auditors on inventory audits and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Service, Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure timely material availability and smooth inventory flow.
- Optimize warehouse layout, storage capacity, material flow and manpower allocation to improve productivity and safety.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, audit requirements, safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Maintain good warehouse housekeeping, 5S practices and safe operation of warehouse equipment.
- Lead, supervise, coach and develop warehouse staff, while monitoring performance, productivity and discipline.
- Prepare and analyse warehouse and inventory reports, including inventory accuracy, stock ageing, turnover, service levels and productivity KPIs.
- Support warehouse cost control, budgeting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties or projects assigned by Management.
Parts Sales & Customer Support
- Lead and oversee the Parts Sales function across two business entities, managing a sizeable parts portfolio of approximately 20,000 SKUs.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of parts enquiries, quotations, sales orders and deliveries for internal and external customers.
- Support workshop operations by ensuring parts availability for service, repair and urgent jobs.
- Provide customers with product recommendations on spare parts, accessories and consumables.
- Monitor parts demand, customer purchasing trends and sales performance to maximise parts revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with Procurement to maintain optimal stock availability for fast-moving and critical spare parts.
- Manage back orders, special orders and supplier lead times to minimise customer downtime.
- Ensure all parts sales transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP system.
- Maintain accurate parts catalogue, product master data and supersession records.
- Collaborate with Service, Sales and Procurement teams to improve parts availability, fulfilment and customer support.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell genuine parts, accessories and service packages.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fleet operators, workshops and suppliers.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Business Operations or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant warehouse, inventory control or logistics operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong experience in warehouse operations, stock control, stock take, inventory reconciliation and ERP inventory transactions.
- Good understanding of inventory procedures, warehouse safety, audit requirements and operational controls.
- Some exposure to spare parts, parts sales, aftersales support or customer order fulfilment will be an advantage.
- Able to support parts enquiries, stock availability checks and coordination with Service, Sales and Procurement teams when required.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented and operationally strong.
- Good leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in automotive, equipment, engineering, logistics, distribution or related industries will be an advantage.
