Project Manager (AGV/MOT)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (AGV/MOT) to lead the execution and delivery of healthcare construction projects involving Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) Systems and Modular/Mobilised Operating Theatre (MOT) solutions. You will oversee project execution from site implementation through commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client, regulatory and healthcare requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage AGV and/or MOT healthcare construction projects from execution through successful completion and handover.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, manpower allocation and resource planning to ensure timely project delivery.
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team comprising engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and vendors.
- Coordinate closely with healthcare clients, consultants, architects, contractors, equipment vendors and relevant authorities throughout project execution.
- Manage project risks, technical challenges and site issues, implementing timely mitigation measures to minimise delays and disruptions.
- Oversee the installation, integration, testing and commissioning of AGV systems, MOT solutions and associated M&E services.
- Review and approve project documentation, including technical submissions, shop drawings, method statements, risk assessments and project reports.
- Manage procurement activities, subcontractor performance, contract administration, variation orders and project claims.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, healthcare regulations, statutory requirements, quality standards and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations.
- Chair project coordination meetings and provide regular progress, commercial and risk updates to management and clients.
- Ensure timely submission of as-built drawings, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and project close-out documentation.
- Lead defect management during the Defects Liability Period (DLP) and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.
- Mentor and develop project team members while fostering a collaborative, quality-driven and safety-focused work environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare construction, special equipment or M&E projects.
- Hands-on experience managing Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), Modular/Mobilised Operating Theatre (MOT), medical equipment integration, or other healthcare infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of healthcare construction environments, M&E coordination and multidisciplinary project execution.
- Experience managing contractors, consultants, equipment suppliers and multiple project stakeholders.
- Familiar with Singapore construction regulations, healthcare facility requirements and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) standards.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, cost control, contract administration, variation orders and project risk management.
- Proven leadership, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
