Senior Project Engineer (ACMV)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer (ACMV) to support the execution and delivery of ongoing ACMV construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate project activities, supervise engineers and subcontractors, and ensure works are carried out safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in the execution and delivery of ongoing ACMV construction projects.
• Oversee and coordinate daily site activities to ensure works are carried out according to project schedules, specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Lead and supervise site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and workers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, main contractors and relevant authorities on project-related matters.
• Coordinate across various disciplines to ensure proper integration of engineering drawings and site activities.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and implement timely corrective actions to minimise delays.
• Prepare project schedules, progress reports, technical submissions and other project documentation.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, construction drawings and technical submissions.
• Assist in monitoring project budgets, manpower deployment and resource utilisation.
• Prepare and coordinate variation orders, claims and supporting documentation where required.
• Manage testing and commissioning activities for ACMV systems.
• Coordinate defect rectification works during the Defects Liability Period (DLP).
• Ensure timely submission of as-built drawings, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and project completion documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations, quality standards and company policies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors throughout project execution.
• Attend project meetings and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in ACMV construction project execution.
• Hands-on experience managing ACMV installation works for commercial, industrial or institutional building projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of ACMV systems, construction methodologies and testing & commissioning processes.
• Familiar with Singapore construction regulations, WSH requirements and industry standards.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, main contractors and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of project documentation, shop drawings, technical submissions, variation orders and project reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
