Software Test Engineer (Cardlink / VisionPLUS)

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer with hands-on experience in Cardlink or VisionPLUS applications to support testing activities for card payment systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and executing test cases, validating system functionality, reporting defects, and supporting end-to-end testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, system integration, and end-to-end testing for Cardlink or VisionPLUS applications.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test conditions, and test data based on business and functional requirements.
• Execute manual test cases and test scripts while maintaining accurate test execution logs.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects through to resolution.
• Report testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
• Perform validation using scheme simulators where required.
• Support test planning, defect triage, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Participate in project meetings, status calls, and provide timely query resolution.
• Ensure testing deliverables are completed in accordance with project timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of software testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cardlink or VisionPLUS applications is mandatory.
• Good understanding of the end-to-end processing cycle within Cardlink or VisionPLUS.
• Experience using payment scheme simulators.
• Experience in preparing test cases, test scripts, test data, and test execution reports.
• Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in banking or cards/payment systems.
• Familiarity with defect management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or similar.
• Exposure to System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and End-to-End (E2E) testing.
• Experience working in Agile or Waterfall project environments.
