Job Summary
Lead and manage the company’s human resources function, supporting senior management in workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, performance management, training, and HR policy implementation aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training, talent development, and HR records management to support business operations.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and workflows that enhance operational efficiency and support management decision-making.
- Advise senior management on workforce planning, organisational structure, staffing needs, employee management, and HR risk mitigation to align HR strategy with business objectives.
- Manage full recruitment lifecycle: job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, candidate assessment, offer management, and onboarding documentation.
- Oversee employee relations by managing communications, employment documentation, resignation and transfer processes, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution.
- Review and support compensation, benefits, and performance management processes including salary benchmarking, payroll coordination, performance appraisal administration, and benefits implementation.
- Plan and coordinate employee training programs, onboarding initiatives, talent development, and staff capability-building activities to enhance workforce skills and engagement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, employee files, and HR information systems ensuring compliance with data protection and company policies.
- Support management in improving organisational effectiveness by clarifying roles, reporting lines, and departmental responsibilities.
- Ensure HR operations and employment practices comply with Singapore employment laws, company policies, and internal procedures.
- Perform additional HR, administrative, and management duties as assigned to support company objectives.
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or related discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant human resources experience, preferably in senior HR, HR manager, or HR leadership roles.
- Experience in regulated, corporate, financial, professional services, engineering, marine, offshore, or operational business environments will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of employment administration, HR documentation, employee records, payroll coordination, welfare administration, and workplace compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle confidential information with discretion, and manage both strategic and operational HR responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Singapore employment practices and workplace compliance requirements.
- Experience in regional recruitment, employment administration, candidate sourcing channels, and cross-border hiring coordination, including Singapore and China markets, will be an advantage.
