Senior Events Executive (Government Conferences & Corporate Events)

PURPLEFOREST EVENTS PTE. LTD.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and dependable Senior Events Executive to lead the planning and delivery of conferences, corporate events, government projects, and association events.

In this role, you'll help bring to life the moments that matter for national institutions, government agencies, and industry leaders, work that is demanding, but genuinely meaningful when it comes together. The events we manage often go beyond logistics; they support communities, strengthen agency objectives, and contribute to Singapore's national interests, especially when international events and high-level engagements are involved.

This role is suitable for an experienced event professional who can independently manage client enquiries, prepare quotations, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and guide and support junior team members while maintaining the high service standards expected by our clients.

Beyond executing events, the Senior Events Executive serves as a bridge between the junior executive team, managerial team and management, supporting junior colleagues' growth, upholding company SOPs, and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management & Proposal Development

  • Manage client enquiries professionally and build strong relationships through responsive, consultative service.
  • Interpret event requirements and develop event solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Prepare quotations, budgets, timelines, and project plans independently.
  • Present recommendations and seek guidance from managers when strategic decisions are required.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Lead the planning and execution of small to medium-scale government sector conferences, international meetings, ministerial-level award ceremonies and launch events.
  • Coordinate vendors, venues, production partners, speakers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification, proactively addressing risks before they escalate.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and project records throughout the event lifecycle.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Guide and support junior Event Executives, helping them perform at their best under pressure.
  • Lead by example and share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learnt with the wider team.
  • Act as a communication bridge between management, the managerial team, and junior executives.
  • Work closely with the managerial team on project planning, resource planning, and workload balancing.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented working culture.

Service Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Uphold the company's client service standards and take full ownership of client outcomes from start to finish.
  • Handle complaints, changes, and unexpected situations calmly and professionally, proposing practical solutions when challenges arise.
  • Follow company SOPs and project management processes.
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute recommendations at post-event reviews to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support the managerial team and management in strengthening team processes, quality control, and delivery standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in managing small to medium sized conference, corporate event, award ceremonies or MICE project management.
  • Proven ability to independently handle client enquiries and prepare event quotations.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for preparing quotations, proposals, event plans, reports and official event documentation, as well as coordinating with clients, government agencies, venue operators, vendors, international delegates and other stakeholders where English is the primary working language. This is particularly important for the planning and delivery of government-sector conferences, international meetings, ministerial-level ceremonies and other high-profile events that require accurate and professional communication.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and react effectively to changing circumstances.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined to work independently under a flexible work arrangement, with the ability to complete tasks within deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy and precision.
  • High proficiency in using Microsoft Teams to communicate, coordinate work, share updates, and support flexible work arrangements among team members.
  • Demonstrate team-player mentality.
  • Able to communicate and work well with management as well as senior members of the team.

Preferred

  • Experience managing government, association, or small to medium-scale conference projects (150 to 300 pax attendees).
  • Experience in or willingness to mentor junior staff.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, procurement, and handling vendors.
  • Experience using event registration systems (e.g. GEVME) and project management tools (Microsoft Planner, etc).

Success Looks Like This

Turns client requirements into clear, well-structured quotations and proposals.

Keeps clients confident and calm when situations get difficult.

Supports junior colleagues without being asked, and is comfortable asking for help too, because no one here works alone.

Takes ownership of outcomes, focuses on solutions, and uses post-event reflections and lessons learned to continuously improve future event execution.

Puts team success ahead of individual recognition, and consistently delivers the service quality our clients expect.

What We Offer

We believe great events are delivered by people who are trusted, supported, and given room to do their best work. Here's what you can expect when you join us:

  • Genuine work-life separation: A dedicated company-issued mobile phone and number, so your personal time, weekends and overseas leave stay truly yours. In return, we ask for professional flexibility in the short window leading up to and during an event, when timely responses to clients are part of delivering the standard we’re known for.
  • Real career progression: A clear pathway from Executive to Management, with mentoring from managers and expanded responsibilities as you grow.
  • High-profile work: Exposure to important government, ministerial, and association events throughout the work year.
  • A trust-based, outcome-driven environment: You’ll enjoy genuine flexibility and hybrid work, underpinned by one simple principle — what matters is delivering with precision and meeting your deadlines, not the number of hours spent at a desk. That freedom is built on mutual trust and your own accountability for the results.
  • A supportive team culture: Short lines of communication and colleagues who look out for one another, because no one here works alone.

Compensation & Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents are welcome to apply.

Remuneration

  • Monthly salary: From SGD$3,800, commensurate with experience and capability.
  • Annual leave: 14 days, in addition to public holidays
  • Working hours: Mondays to Fridays, 10.00am to 6.00pm. Saturdays, 9.00am to 1.00pm, usually only on event activation basis, with the flexibility to work extended or weekend hours during event periods as the role requires.
  • Off-in-Lieu: Full-day weekend or public holiday event activations are recognised with Off-in-Lieu, so the extra time you give during peak periods is given back to you.
  • Staff Welfare: Taxi fares to and from event venue for early starts and late finishes, covered transport for urgent delivery runs, and a dinner allowance for late overtime, because long event days shouldn’t cost you out of pocket.
