Software Development Manager (Scrum, JIRA, Appian, HP-ALM, Siebel CRM, Azure DevOps, Healthcare / SCM)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QA team to ensure timely delivery of testing activities.
• Define test strategies, test plans, and effort estimates for project deliverables.
• Review business and functional requirements to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Design, execute, and oversee functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing across multiple applications and integrated systems.
• Monitor testing progress, track defects, and provide regular quality status updates to project stakeholders.
• Facilitate collaboration between development, business, and support teams during testing and release cycles.
• Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• Prepare release-related documentation, including test reports, deployment readiness checklists, and post-release validation reports.
• Provide production support by investigating issues, validating fixes, and assisting with incident resolution.
• Mentor junior QA engineers by conducting knowledge-sharing sessions and reviewing testing deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, testing standards, and best practices.
• Participate in risk assessment and recommend quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Management.
• Healthcare or Supply Chain Managment domain experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Appian platform testing and enterprise business applications.
• Hands-on experience in Siebel CRM
• Hands-on experience leading QA teams in enterprise software projects.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with active participation in sprint-based development.
• Strong expertise in manual testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and release validation.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience testing web services using SOAP UI or similar API testing tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Basic understanding of Selenium or other test automation tools is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and business teams.
• Scrum Master certification or Agile-related certification is preferred.
