Software and Applications Manager(Agile, Appian, Oil & Gas/Insurance, Scrum, Waterfall)

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable and secure Appian application architectures aligned with business and technical objectives.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of Appian solutions, from requirements analysis through deployment and post-production support.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical solution designs.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish development standards, coding best practices, and governance for Appian implementations.
• Oversee application performance optimization, code quality, and platform scalability.
• Manage technical risks, resolve complex design challenges, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Appian applications with enterprise systems and third-party services.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, solution reviews, and release management activities.
• Support pre-sales initiatives by contributing to solution proposals, technical presentations, effort estimations, and solution demonstrations.
• Mentor developers, architects, and technical leads while promoting continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives by identifying reusable frameworks, accelerators, and best practices within the Appian ecosystem.
• Ensure solutions comply with organizational architecture standards, security guidelines, and quality processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development and Business Process Management (BPM), including significant experience with the Appian platform.
• Hands-on experience in solution architecture and leading enterprise-scale Appian implementations.
• Preferred domain experience in Insurance or Oil & Gas or Banking
• Strong expertise in Appian application development, process modeling, data modeling, interface design, and system integrations.
• Experience working with cloud-based and on-premises application environments.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, application lifecycle management, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience integrating Appian with enterprise databases, APIs, and external applications.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall software delivery methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities with experience working directly with business and executive teams.
• Proven experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and driving successful project delivery.
• Appian certifications such as Lead Designer, Senior Developer, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Scrum certification or Agile-related certifications will be an added advantage.
