- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the offshore and marine sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, offshore operators, EPC contractors, oil & gas companies, renewable energy developers, and government agencies.
- Develop strategies to expand the company's client base and market presence.
- Source and evaluate commercial opportunities including vessel chartering, offshore projects, marine engineering services, and strategic partnerships.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, tender submissions, and contract negotiations.
- Lead commercial discussions from initial engagement through contract execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential business opportunities.
- Work closely with operations, finance, legal, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and client meetings.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline, CRM records, and regular business development reports.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and business growth objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of business development or commercial experience within the offshore, marine, shipping, or energy industry.
- Strong understanding of the offshore & marine market, including vessel operations, offshore projects, marine services, or offshore energy.
- Existing network within the offshore and marine industry will be highly advantageous.
- Proven track record in generating new business and managing key customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and evaluate business opportunities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required.
