Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the site safety team and subcontractors to implement and maintain the company’s safety systems effectively
  • Collaborate with site operations staff and project managers to address all safety and health concerns promptly
  • Supervise safety practices and actively promote safe conduct among all personnel on site
  • Inspect workplaces regularly to identify and rectify unsafe conditions to prevent accidents
  • Identify and correct unsafe work practices to maintain compliance and safety standards
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to detect hazards and perform safety gap analyses for continuous improvement
  • Assist in reporting accidents and conducting thorough investigations to determine causes and preventive measures
  • Facilitate toolbox meetings to communicate safety information and updates to workers
  • Support safety planning and develop strategies to prevent incidents on site
  • Assist in preparing for and participating in ISO OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 audits to ensure compliance with standards
  • Liaise with government agencies, insurance companies, and auditors regarding safety matters and compliance
  • Perform any other duties required under the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act
  • MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
  • NEA registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building and construction projects
  • Experience working on HDB projects
  • Proficient communication skills to engage effectively across departments and functions
  • Strong knowledge of ISO OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Understanding of construction industry activities
  • Willingness to work alternate Saturdays
