Job Responsibilities
- Lead the site safety team and subcontractors to implement and maintain the company’s safety systems effectively
- Collaborate with site operations staff and project managers to address all safety and health concerns promptly
- Supervise safety practices and actively promote safe conduct among all personnel on site
- Inspect workplaces regularly to identify and rectify unsafe conditions to prevent accidents
- Identify and correct unsafe work practices to maintain compliance and safety standards
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to detect hazards and perform safety gap analyses for continuous improvement
- Assist in reporting accidents and conducting thorough investigations to determine causes and preventive measures
- Facilitate toolbox meetings to communicate safety information and updates to workers
- Support safety planning and develop strategies to prevent incidents on site
- Assist in preparing for and participating in ISO OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 audits to ensure compliance with standards
- Liaise with government agencies, insurance companies, and auditors regarding safety matters and compliance
- Perform any other duties required under the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act
- MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
- NEA registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building and construction projects
- Experience working on HDB projects
- Proficient communication skills to engage effectively across departments and functions
- Strong knowledge of ISO OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Understanding of construction industry activities
- Willingness to work alternate Saturdays
