CARPENTER

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements.
• Take accurate measurements and calculate the quantity of materials required.
• Cut, shape, and finish timber, plywood, fiberglass, and other construction materials according to specifications.
• Construct and install window frames, doors, staircases, partitions, and other building structures using raw materials or prefabricated components.
• Install flooring, roofing, drywall, and other interior and exterior finishes, ensuring proper alignment and levelness.
• Build, assemble, and install furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other wooden fixtures.
• Inspect completed work and perform repair and maintenance work as required.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and other temporary construction structures safely.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all workplace safety regulations.
• Perform other carpentry-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar construction role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
• Good knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and woodworking tools.
• Skilled in using both hand tools and power tools safely.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts when required.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and construction regulations.
