Senior / Accountant

Responsibilities
- Maintain full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Fixed Assets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis for management review.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with SFRS(I)/IFRS and company policies.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation and consolidated financial statements
- Monitor project costs, accruals, provisions, and cost allocations to projects and cost centers.
- Support progress billings, revenue recognition, contract accounting, and project analysis.
- Review supplier invoices, subcontractor claims, and project-related expenditures.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries on audit, tax and statutory matters.
- Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and working papers for internal and external audits.
- Assist in GST reporting, corporate tax compliance, and statutory submissions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, SGX regulations, internal controls and Group policies.
- Drive process improvements, standardization and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Support implementation of new accounting standards, ERP systems, and finance transformation projects.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties and projects assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline. Professional qualifications (CA, ACCA, CPA) will be an advantage.
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction, project-based or listed company environments.
- Knowledge of SFRS(I)/IFRS, GST, corporate tax and statutory reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of core accounting principles and group consolidation.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong sense of accountability and professional integrity.
- Capable of managing tight deadlines and changing priorities.
