Primary and Secondary Science Teacher
Part-time and full-time positions are available.
Responsibilities
- Teach Science to primary and/or secondary school students
- Plan and conduct clear, engaging and well-structured lessons
- Help students understand scientific concepts and apply them accurately
- Train students to answer multiple-choice and open-ended questions using appropriate scientific keywords
- Prepare students for school assessments, PSLE and secondary-level examinations
- Mark assignments and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Monitor students’ progress and identify areas for improvement
- Create a supportive and positive learning environment
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ progress when required
Requirements
- Strong understanding of scientific concepts
- Familiarity with the MOE Science syllabus is preferred
- Prior teaching or tuition experience is an advantage
- Able to explain complex concepts in a clear and simple manner
- Patient, responsible and comfortable working with children and teenagers
- Good communication and classroom management skills
- Able to commit to a regular teaching schedule
- Current or former MOE teachers are especially welcome to apply
