ELECTRICAL SITE ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan, supervise, and coordinate all electrical installation works at construction sites.

2. Review and interpret electrical and extra-low voltage system drawings to ensure accurate installation and compliance with project requirements.

3. Monitor daily site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans.

4. Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project teams to ensure smooth project execution.

5. Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

6. Carry out electrical engineering calculations, including power load analysis and fault level assessments, to support safe and efficient system design.

7. Provide technical support by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving engineering issues during installation, testing, and commissioning.

8. Prepare work schedules, manpower allocation, and material requirements for site activities.

9. Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant electrical standards.

10. Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, risk assessments, and permit-to-work requirements.

11. Attend site meetings, inspections, and coordination meetings with clients and consultants.

12. Verify completed works, prepare inspection documents, and assist in testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

13. Prepare inspection requests (IR), testing reports, and commissioning documents

14. Manage site documentation, including drawings, method statements, inspection records, and as-built drawings.

15. Ensure timely procurement and proper utilization of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.

16. Assist the Project Manager in achieving project milestones within the approved budget and timeline.

17. Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, electrical regulations, and company quality management procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical construction projects.

Knowledge of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and quality standards.

Able to work independently and at multiple construction sites.
