Legal Counsel (M&A / Funds)
KERRY CONSULTING PTE. LTD.
We are working with an infrastructure investment firm committed to high potential sectors such as digital infrastructure and energy. As it continues its regional expansion, there is a newly created role for a M&A/Funds lawyer to support its growth.
Responsibilities
The Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal support across the business, with a primary focus on investment, fund-related and corporate transactions. The role will involve advising on the structuring, negotiation and execution of investment transactions, reviewing and drafting a broad range of commercial and transactional agreements, and providing legal guidance on regulatory, governance and risk management matters.
Working closely with investment, finance and senior leadership teams, the successful candidate will ensure that business objectives are achieved while maintaining a robust legal and compliance framework.
Requirements
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification and is admitted to practice in a recognized jurisdiction. A minimum of 10 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) is required, with a strong preference for candidates currently or previously practicing at a reputable law firm.
Hands-on experience advising on private funds and/or mergers & acquisitions (M&A) transactions is a minimum requirement. Candidates should possess excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide commercially pragmatic legal advice in a fast-paced environment. Prior in-house experience within private equity, investment management or financial services would be advantageous, although not essential.
