Senior Manager, Vendor Management and Procurement

This multifaceted role focuses on managing vendor relationships and streamlining procurement processes to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assign projects to suitable vendors based on requirements and capabilities, monitoring their performance against established KPIs and contractual obligations.

• Conduct thorough evaluations of vendors, analyzing price competitiveness and service quality while managing relationships for strategic partnerships.

• Review and assess vendor incentive programs and rebate schemes, recommending improvements based on periodic evaluations.

• Oversee procurement activities, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and budget constraints.

• Negotiate favorable pricing strategies and terms with vendors, tracking and managing awarded Purchase Orders (POs).

• Monitor vendor performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and addressing any discrepancies.

• Track key milestones related to vendor deliverables and participate in performance review meetings.

• Coordinate logistics and manage the event calendar, ensuring timely delivery of services and materials by anticipating resource needs.

• Prepare performance reports, procurement status updates, and analyses of cost-saving opportunities.

• Conduct market research to identify new vendors, developing strategies for negotiation to ensure value and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.

• 5 - 8 years of experience in vendor management and procurement.

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

• Proven ability to create and manage vendor scorecards, SLAs, and KPIs.

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with stakeholders and vendors.

• Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.

• Relevant experience in industries such as interior fit-out, construction, hospitality, events, and exhibitions is preferred.
