We are looking for a hands-on, operations-driven Logistics &Transport Manager to take full ownership of our last-mile delivery and fleet operations. In this role, you will be the backbone of our F&B supply chain—leading a team of drivers to ensure that stock moves seamlessly from our central warehouses to our diverse portfolio of internal and external customer sites. Your primary mission is to guarantee 100% on-time, in-full deliveries while maintaining vehicle safety and optimizing daily rosters.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership &Roster Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of delivery drivers and transport assistants.
  • Plan and manage daily/weekly work rosters to ensure adequate manpower coverage for peak periods, public holidays, and sick leave, minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals, provide coaching, and address disciplinary or performance issues promptly.

2. On-Time Delivery Operations

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery schedule, ensuring all stock (raw materials and finished goods) is dispatched and delivered to various F&B outlets, customer sites, and external clients strictly according to delivery windows.
  • Proactively monitor driver progress via tracking systems; troubleshoot delays (e.g., traffic, breakdowns) and re-route drivers immediately to meet service level agreements (SLAs).

3. Fleet & Vehicle Maintenance

  • Oversee the planned preventative maintenance of all company vehicles (e.g., vans, lorries).
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with LTA regulations, road tax, insurance, and inspection schedules.
  • Manage the repair and servicing budget, negotiating with external workshops to minimize vehicle downtime.

4. Cross-Functional Logistics Support

  • Support the broader logistics operations across the various Food & Beverage business units—this includes coordinating receiving schedules with the warehouse team and ensuring smooth handover of goods.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Outlet Managers) to resolve delivery issues and adapt to changing order volumes.

5. Safety &Compliance

  • Promote a high level of safety awareness, enforcing safe driving practices and proper handling of goods (especially temperature-sensitive F&B items).
  • Work closely with the safety committee to investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.

6. Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Audit daily delivery reports and driver logbooks; monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery accuracy, fuel efficiency, and vehicle utilization.
  • Make recommendations on restocking frequency and route optimization to reduce operational costs and improve EBIT contribution.
