Job Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing brand awareness, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding business opportunities for the restaurant. The role focuses on increasing dine-in traffic, catering sales, corporate accounts, online sales, and customer loyalty while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, including corporate clients, travel agencies, hotels, schools, tour operators, and event organizers.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase restaurant revenue.

  • Generate catering, private events, and group booking sales.

  • Build long-term relationships with corporate customers and repeat clients.

  • Conduct market research to identify new customer segments and industry trends.

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility.

  • Work closely with the digital marketing team on social media promotions, paid advertisements, and online campaigns.

  • Develop promotional packages during festive seasons and special occasions.

  • Collaborate with influencers, food bloggers, and media partners.

  • Monitor competitors' activities and recommend marketing initiatives.

Partnership Development

  • Establish partnerships with nearby hotels, offices, tourist attractions, and businesses.

  • Coordinate with food delivery platforms and online reservation partners.

  • Develop strategic collaborations with event companies and tourism businesses.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers.

  • Respond to customer feedback professionally.

  • Implement customer loyalty and membership programmes.

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Revenue & Performance Management

  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts and revenue reports.

  • Monitor sales performance against targets.

  • Recommend pricing strategies and promotional activities.

  • Analyse sales data and customer behaviour to improve profitability.

Operations Support

  • Coordinate with restaurant management to ensure smooth execution of promotions and events.

  • Support new product launches and seasonal menu promotions.

  • Assist in planning special events and private functions.

Administrative Duties

  • Prepare business development reports for management.

  • Maintain records of corporate clients and sales activities.

  • Monitor marketing budgets and campaign effectiveness.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and Singapore regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or restaurant management.

  • Experience in the F&B or hospitality industry is preferred.

  • Strong negotiation, networking, and communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to analyse sales data and market trends.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
