Field Application Engineer (Energy Management )
L3 HOMEATION PTE. LTD.
We are looking for a hands-on and technically driven Field Application Engineer to support the deployment, commissioning, and performance verification of our AI-driven energy management systems at commercial client sites.
You will take ownership of live customer deployments — from site coordination and controller setup through to ongoing energy performance monitoring and reporting — with training and mentoring from our experienced integration team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and commission energy management controllers and monitoring equipment at commercial customer sites
- Perform device calibration (power meters, sensors, controllers)
- Interface our systems with existing building systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC equipment, where present
- Act as site coordinator for assigned deployment projects — planning schedules, coordinating subcontractors and licensed electrical vendors, and liaising with customer site teams
- Ensure site works comply with approved method statements, risk assessments, and site safety requirements
- Monitor system performance across live sites; collect and validate field data to support system optimisation by the engineering team
- Prepare energy performance and savings verification reports for customers
- Support system integration testing, commissioning, and acceptance testing
- Track project progress, prepare status updates, and manage deployment documentation through to acceptance and handover
- Troubleshoot field issues as first-line support; escalate and collaborate with the engineering team for resolution
- Maintain detailed deployment, calibration, and site records in line with company SOPs
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, IoT Systems, or related fields
- 1–3 years of experience in site engineering, commissioning, BMS, M&E, or building automation preferred
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) or building automation is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with field and building protocols (e.g. Modbus TCP, BACnet, MQTT) is a strong plus
- Hands-on experience with IoT systems, smart devices, or embedded systems is an advantage
- Experience coordinating site works, subcontractors, or installation projects is an advantage
- Comfortable with field work — able to perform on-site setup, calibration, and monitoring independently
- Understanding of power and energy monitoring systems is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication — able to work with internal engineers, customers, subcontractors, and external partners
- Fresh engineering degree graduates with strong hands-on skills may also be considered
