Manager, Roaming

Role Purpose

The Roaming Manager is responsible for driving Bridge Member Operators’(BMOs) regional leadership in roaming services. The role will lead wholesalenegotiations, forge strategic global partnerships, and identify new businessavenues across roaming, eSIM, and IoT ecosystems to drive revenue growth. Thisrole also encompasses strategic guidance to BMOs on network quality &coverage assurance, new technology enablement, and the creation of compellingretail propositions.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Leadership & Technology Enablement: Drive BMOs’ regional leadership inroaming services. Champion the rollout of next-generation technologies (e.g.,5G SA/NSA roaming, BCE) and enhance retail roaming propositions.

Business Development:Formulate and execute innovative business opportunities within the travel androaming sectors to accelerate mobile revenue and market share for BMOs.

Strategic Support & Roadmapping: Assist BMOs in executing roaming strategies, defining productroadmaps, optimizing the end-to-end roaming user experience, and launchingtargeted marketing programs.

Wholesale & Partner Management: Lead commercial negotiations for wholesale roaming agreements withglobal mobile operators, MVNOs, and hyperscalers across roaming, eSIM, and IoTverticals.

Alliance & Ecosystem Frameworks: Develop, review, and update Alliance frameworks to ensure continuousalignment with shifting regional and global travel industry trends.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the central liaison between internal cross-functional teams andBMOs to seamlessly execute identified business strategies. Keep BMOscontinuously engaged with insights on global travel tech trends.

Education & Experience

Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications,Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance,Economics, or a related discipline.

Industry Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the roaming,wholesale, or mobile business.

Regional Expertise: In-depth understanding of the mobile telecomlandscape, regulatory environments, and market dynamics within the APAC region.

Skills & Competencies

Commercial Acumen & Negotiation: Proven track record in wholesalenegotiations with global partners, with strong business acumen to influencecross-border stakeholders.

Technical Familiarity: Understanding of roaming technicalities,including 5G roaming frameworks, BCE, and IoT connectivity.

Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical mind with theability to translate complex data into actionable roaming strategies andproblem-solving initiatives.

Communication & Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal andcommunication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build deep, trustingrelationships with BMOs and global partners.

Cultural Intelligence: High level of cultural adaptability andawareness, with experience working across diverse, multi-national teams.Multilingual capabilities are highly advantageous.

Attributes: Highly independent and self-motivated, yet functions as acollaborative team player.

Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel regionally andinternationally as required.
