Platform Infrastructure Engineer (PaaS/CaaS)
- Salary: S$5,500 basic
- Contract: 1-year direct contract with client (extendable/convertible based on performance)
- Location: Ang Mo Kio
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
As a Platform Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise platform services running across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
The responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain enterprise platform services, middleware, databases, messaging platforms, and container environments.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production issues.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and restoration activities.
- Work with modern container technologies including: Kubernetes, Docker and Podman
- Support enterprise platforms such as: MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, NGINX, Apache HTTP Server, IBM MQ, Kafka, MQTT, ArcGIS, Keycloak
- Implement infrastructure hardening based on CIS benchmarks and security best practices.
- Manage platform security, user access, and compliance requirements.
- Support disaster recovery planning and resilience initiatives.
- Deploy platform upgrades, security patches, and lifecycle improvements.
- Support change management and release activities with rollback planning.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Application, and Infrastructure teams to deliver stable platform services.
The requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3 years of experience in infrastructure administration or platform engineering.
- Strong knowledge of: Linux (RHEL), Windows Server, VMware, Enterprise server and storage infrastructure
- Experience administering container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools including GitLab and Ansible.
- Experience supporting enterprise technologies such as MongoDB, NGINX, Apache, IBM MQ, Kafka, ArcGIS, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of monitoring solutions such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Understanding of ITIL processes including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Experience in pre-sales or tender preparation.
