Commercial Finance Senior Manager

MAIN PURPOSE
The Commercial Finance Senior Manager serves as a strategic business partner to the Commercial and/or Marketing team, providing financial leadership and analytical support in driving business performance through robust financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and decision support.
The role is responsible for leading and enhancing the business planning framework, providing actionable insights and financial stewardship to support investment, growth, and profitability decisions. By translating complex financial and commercial data into strategic recommendations, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving continuous improvements in planning processes, systems, and analytics capabilities, he/she will help ensure sustainable business growth, operational excellence, and alignment with the organization's long-term objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with Commercial and/or Marketing teams for mid and long-term planning, forecasting and analyses that produce accurate, achievable plans and forecasts, aligned with strategic objectives ofthe business.
- Lead and continuously improve Commercial and/or Marketing business planning framework across STR/TRA, providing financial guidance on investments, growth, and profitability decisions.
- Align with internal and external stakeholders to ensure business planning objectives between STR/TRA and Brand holders are met.
- Drive the preparation and delivery of executive presentations and business updates. Act as the key finance advisor, translating financial and commercial trends into strategic recommendations with compelling narratives.
- Challenge and influence senior stakeholders by evaluating results through a rigorous commercial and financial lens.
- Drive financial stewardship and performance management across Marketing and Commercial, challenging assumptions, evaluating trade-offs, and influencing decisions to maximize business growth and profitability.
- Define and drive improvements to business planning processes, reporting systems/tools, and finance business partnering capabilities to instill an ROI mindset in the organisation.
- Advise on financial modelling and analytics capabilities, elevating decision-making quality across the organization.
- Advise on continuous improvement in systems, reporting tools, and automation (e.g., SAP, BPC, BI, SAC) to enhance accuracy, agility, and scalability.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 12 years of progressive commercial finance experience, within a multinational environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, businessadministration, or related field.
- Proven track record in leading end-to-end business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modelling
- Ability to distil complex financial data into actionable insights, influencing and partnering with C-suite and non-financial department heads.
- Strong business sense with a history of driving key performance indicators (KPIs), optimizing profitability, and identifying commercial growth opportunities.
- Hands-on with excellent Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets.
- Proficient in financial ERP systems (e.g., SAP,BPC, BI) and SAP Analytics Cloud is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams, navigating ambiguity, and driving change in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
