Software Engineer (I)***

Responsibilities

• Own tasks and projects, identifying and addressing issues proactively with minimal guidance
• Deliver features and proofs of concept
• Receive mentorship on architectural decisions and cross-component integration
• Make thoughtful trade-offs between performance, security, and maintainability
• Write and review code with clarity and long-term maintainability in mind
• Apply good engineering practices consistently
• Expand test coverage including unit and integration tests
• Address technical debt, suggest improvements, and contribute to CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines
• Balancing short-term delivery speed with long-term code health, flagging when quick fixes introduce future risk
• Follow through on shipped products' impact by checking metrics, reviewing error rates, and addressing post-deployment issues
• Participate in incident triage and resolution and escalate complex issues when needed
• Monitor the use of AI-generated code, reviewing it for correctness, edge cases, security issues, and maintainability
• Write clear task descriptions and specifications to get higher-quality AI assistance and reduce rework
• Align your work with team goals and priorities
• Focus on tasks that deliver the most expected business value
• Ensure work is executed effectively
• Address minor conflicts constructively and respectfully
• Share knowledge, resources, successes, and failures openly

• Able to write code to solve abstract programming problems

• Able to talk and reason about code with other engineers
