Reporting to the Manager, Singapore Crude, Heavy & LPG Scheduling, the Operations Analyst is expected to work independently, demonstrate strong commercial awareness and systems capability, and collaborate across functions to provide operational support. The role will spend an equal amount of time on scheduling support and coverage, while also supporting operations administration, cost control analysis, system testing, and process improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Support cargo nomination and ticketing
- Accurately verify and enter secondary cost data—including tankage charges, inspection fees, GST, and other operational expenses—into the SAP system
- Use Power BI dashboard to ensure accurate visualization and reporting of secondary cost metrics
- Continuously assess and optimize cost verification and data entry processes, identifying opportunities for automation and enhanced operational efficiency.
- Perform relevant scheduling system upgrade testing in SAP system
- Perform analytical support for the Operations function
- Support operations license renewal and internal compliance audit
- Endorse and despatch cargo/shipping documents to 3rd parties accurately and on time
- Serve as a reliable backup to schedulers during leave, peak workload periods, or coverage gaps, with the ability to handle routine scheduling tasks independently
- Coordinate closely with traders, schedulers, operations, inspectors, agents, terminal counterparties, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth task execution, secondary cost processing, and scheduling coverage
- Develop a strong end-to-end understanding of the scheduling cycle to provide meaningful execution support for secondary costs, beyond administrative support
- Maintain Operations-related documents in line with Phillips 66 Documents Retention Management guidelines
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Degree in maritime/logistics
- Excellent attention to details
- Excellent analytical, numeracy and computer (MSOffice and Excel) skills
- Experience with automating workflows and building dashboards using tools such as Python, Power BI
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Must be able to work efficiently under time pressure to meet deadlines and effectively within the Operations team and for interaction with other Phillips 66 groups and third parties.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Scheduling or Shipping & Marine functions preferred
- Previous operations support and SAP cost entry experience will be added advantage
- Basic understanding of operational cost verification, terminal, marine and cargo-related charges
- Ability to step into scheduling coverage and provide meaningful workload relief to schedulers
