About Dr Paws Vet Care
Dr Paws Vet Care is a small first-opinion general practice clinic located near Siglap, Bedok, East Coast and Marine Parade.
We see dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and hamsters. Our clinic is equipped with IDEXX blood test machines, digital radiography, ultrasound, a dental suite including rabbit and rodent dentistry, a surgical suite, and acupuncture services.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Veterinary Nurse / Clinic Floor Lead to join our team. This role is suitable for someone who is confident in clinical nursing duties and able to support the veterinarian, guide junior staff and interns, and help maintain smooth daily clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care for hospitalised and outpatient animals
Assist the veterinarian during consultations, procedures, surgeries and dental work
Monitor patients during anaesthesia and post-operative recovery
Support diagnostic work, including blood tests, urine tests, cytology, radiography and ultrasound assistance
Handle and restrain dogs, cats and small mammals safely and compassionately
Communicate professionally with clients regarding appointments, admissions, discharges and follow-up instructions
Help guide junior staff and interns in daily clinic workflow, nursing standards and client communication
Support smooth clinic flow by anticipating the veterinarian’s and team’s needs
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organisation of the treatment area, consult rooms, cages and general clinic space
Assist with reception, WhatsApp replies, appointment scheduling and administrative duties where needed
Work closely with the Head Veterinarian and Practice Manager to maintain clinic standards and team discipline
Requirements
At least 3–5 years of relevant veterinary nursing experience
Confident in animal handling, restraint and patient care
Experience with anaesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
Able to assist with diagnostic procedures and laboratory work
Strong communication skills with clients and team members
Responsible, mature and professional attitude
Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Willing to assist with both clinical nursing and general clinic duties
Able to guide junior staff and interns respectfully and constructively
Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents only
Preferred
Diploma in Veterinary Technology or related veterinary nursing qualification
Experience with small mammals, dentistry, radiography or laboratory work
Prior experience in a senior nurse, team lead or training role
