Join us as a Senior Sales Manager (MICE) at Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre. You'll have ambition, talent, and, of course, the key skills we're looking for. In this vital role, you will:
- Monitor competitors' activities and assist in marketing intelligence.
- Refer sales leads to the appropriate personnel within InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
- Sell to new, existing, and prospective customers in line with the sales strategy while negotiating optimum rates for the benefit of the business.
- Service existing business through effective account management.
- Sell all facets of the hotel.
- Manage corporate head office accounts and maintain the preferred hotel history for each company.
- Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls, meeting with principals of target markets.
- Provide direction on, and conduct, market research and analysis.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business generators, meeting and convention planners, visitors/convention bureaus, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate accounts, government departments, and other business partners closely allied with the hotel.
- Build the hotel's profile within the local marketplace through participation in events and networking opportunities.
- Travel when required to promote the hotel and develop potential business.
- Maintain regular contact with IHG hotels within the region and the regional reservations office.
- Monitor existing business and contribute to sales strategy meetings to maximise business opportunities.
- Grow existing business while identifying and pursuing new leads.
- Liaise with hotel operations in a timely manner.
- Initiate and prepare tenders for business opportunities.
- Assess sales and marketing data.
- Assist in the preparation of new products and services.
- Assist in evaluating sales and marketing activities.
- Analyse the sales mix and its likely impact on hotel goals.
- Implement directions from the Director of Sales & Marketing and Regional Managers.
- Work with the reporting manager on manpower planning and management needs.
- Work with the reporting manager in preparing and managing the department's budget.
What We Need From You
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
