Junior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

• Troubleshooting, servicing, overhauling repairing all governor and M&E of hydraulic equipment onboard or shipyard
• Technical and Practical knowledge in Control System, Mechanical, Hydraulics and Structures
• Provide technical advice and assistance to the overall team members when necessary
• Ensure complete awareness and knowledge of the manufacturers’ instructions and manuals to ensure equipment are repaired according to the correct methods
• Monitor the serviceability of plant equipment and facilities and ensure they are adhere to safety, housekeeping and environmental requirement
• Ensure all repairs, maintenance and overhaul jobs are completed in a timely manner
• Attend vessels in anchorage, dock and sail if necessary
• Compliance with all internal control systems, procedures, rules, regulations, limits of authority, practices and policies of the Company
• Assist with the development and implementation of service procedures and policies and work with the team to identify areas for improvement
• Provide detailed reports of the jobs / repairs carried out
• Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the immediate superior or higher management

Requirement

• Minimum NITEC / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering
• Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
• Be able to work on board vessel’s engine room environment, shipyards, anchorage etc and travel overseas if necessary
• Excellent communication skills
• Possess positive and responsible attitude towards work
• Works under moderate supervision
• Able to work on sudden occasions (weekends & public holidays)
