Job Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Support the development of the division's strategy and business plans for Japanese Corporate Banking Business in APAC region

  • Promote collaboration with headquarters, branches, product offices, other divisions and partner banks.

  • Work in partnership with colleagues in various divisions to coordinate and collate relevant materials to support in developing business strategies.

  • Responsible for analysing data to illustrate the performance and provide updates accordingly.

  • Assist in preparing ad hoc departmental reports and presentations

Financial

  • Manage expense budget and head count in APAC region

  • Monitor financial performance and assess against projected targets

  • Manage Balanced Score Card for the region

  • Evaluate performance of regional branches

Customer

  • Work in partnership with Tokyo head office to promote business initiatives across APAC region.

  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both with MUFG and externally.

  • Work in partnership with Relationship Managers to promote cross-border domain strategy.

Other/ Control

  • Arrange and assist on various conference across the region.

  • Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines.

  • To undertake any other matters instructed by Management.

  • Minimum JLPT N1 Certification (or equivalent business-level Japanese proficiency) to communicate effectively with stakeholders of various divisions in Tokyo Head Office, as the role requires interaction with Japanese speaking stakeholders.

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services industry, including at least 6 years in Japanese corporate banking, with demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, regulatory compliance (particularly with local regulations), and effective communication with Japanese corporate clients and stakeholders.

  • Minimum Degree Qualified

  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Demonstrated adaptability to organizational change and the varying demands of different stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and efficient time management.

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge in banking regulatory environment with particular focus on the local regulations
