Job Purpose

The Sales Manager – Vertical Markets is responsible fordriving revenue growth and market penetration of online water analyzers across assigned industry verticals in Singapore. This role focuses on solutionselling, key account development, and strategic engagement with end users,consultants, EPCs, and system integrators within regulated and industrialenvironments.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute vertical-specific sales strategies for online water analyzers (e.g. pH, conductivity, TOC, turbidity, chlorine, nutrients).
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets, order intake, and margin objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities within assigned verticals and convert leads into long-term customers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, technical clarification, proposals, negotiation, and closing.

Vertical Market Focus

Typical verticals may include (based on company strategy):

  • Water & Wastewater (Public Utilities, NEWater, Industrial WT/WWT)
  • Semiconductor & Electronics
  • Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences
  • Power Generation
  • Oil & Gas / Chemicals
  • Food & Beverage

Key Account & Stakeholder Management

  • End users and plant owners
  • Consulting engineers
  • EPC contractors
  • System integrators and OEM partners
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for key strategic accounts.
  • Support specification positioning and project influence at early design stages.

Solution & Technical Selling

  • Promote value-based solutions combining analyzers, sensors, software, and services.
  • Work closely with application engineers and service teams to develop technically sound proposals.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical seminars, and customer demonstrations.
  • Stay current on industry regulations (e.g. PUB, NEA, ISO, GMP) impacting water quality monitoring.

Channel & Partner Development

  • Support and manage channel partners or distributors where applicable.
  • Drive joint sales activities, trainings, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure partner alignment with pricing, branding, and sales strategy.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM data.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics.
  • Provide regular sales reports, opportunity pipelines, and market feedback to management.

  • Annual sales revenue and order intake
  • Vertical market growth and new account acquisition

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field

Experience

  • 5 years of B2B sales experience in process instrumentation, analytical equipment, or industrial automation
  • Proven track record in capital equipment or solution sales within Singapore
  • Experience selling into regulated or industrial vertical markets
  • Familiarity with online water analyzers or liquid analytical technologies is strongly preferred
