Job Summary

The Scada/BPI Operator II monitors and manages baggage handling system operations, ensuring smooth flow and resolving faults. You will coordinate technicians, report events, update flight allocations, and train new operators to maintain high system performance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SCADA system operations and assign technicians to clear jams and faults promptly
• Record and report event sequences during unexpected operational incidents for accurate documentation
• Collect and compile operational data to support reporting and performance analysis
• Update flight allocation in strategic planning systems to ensure accurate baggage routing
• Execute startup procedures, verify sortation operations, and document proper baggage routing
• Monitor baggage screening and routing, investigate anomalies, and escalate issues to shift leaders for resolution
• Oversee BSM delivery monitoring and report related issues to BHS operations for timely corrective actions
• Manage manual encoding baggage operations and assign flight allocation schedules to ensure correct bag sorting
• Conduct visual inspections of server room equipment and report unusual statuses to shift leaders for action
• Train newly joined SCADA/BPI operators to ensure operational competence and adherence to procedures
• Perform additional tasks and assignments as directed to support operational goals

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven work experience as a Technical Officer or Operator
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, control & instrumentation, or manufacturing engineering
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills essential for team coordination and operational effectiveness

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in baggage handling systems or automated material handling operations and maintenance
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
• Ability to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong team player with a positive working attitude

Other Information

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Full-time role supporting a 24/7 operation with 3 shifts
• Overtime, weekend, and holiday work required
• Shift flexibility including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or mid-shift
