Laser Cutting Machinist / Operator

Job Summary

You will operate laser cutting machines to produce quality steel parts, prepare jobs by setting up machines and loading materials, interpret engineering drawings, and maintain safety and housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser cutting machines to cut steel parts accurately according to job orders
• Set up machines, load materials, and prepare jobs to ensure smooth production flow
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and job orders to execute precise cutting and nesting operations
• Monitor production processes and inspect finished parts to maintain quality standards
• Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to minimize machine downtime
• Maintain proper housekeeping and implement 5S standards to ensure a clean and organized work environment
• Follow workplace safety procedures consistently to ensure a safe working environment

Required competencies and certifications

• Hold a valid N3 Laser User Licence in Singapore

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in CNC or sheet metal fabrication
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Familiar with laser cutting machines and its software

Working Environment

• Workshop / manufacturing environment
• Exposure to machinery, noise, and heat
• PPE required (safety shoes, gloves, etc.)
