Post fixture Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all post-fixture operations from fixture confirmation through to successful voyage completion.
  • Coordinate closely with charterers, shipowners, brokers, agents, terminals, and vessel Masters to ensure seamless voyage execution.
  • Ensure compliance with charter party terms and monitor operational and commercial performance throughout the voyage.
  • Issue and manage voyage instructions while ensuring efficient day-to-day operational execution.
  • Review and process Statements of Facts (SOF), Notices of Readiness (NOR), laytime calculations, demurrage, and associated claims.
  • Monitor voyage profitability, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Proactively identify operational risks and implement timely solutions to minimize commercial and financial exposure.
  • Maintain accurate voyage documentation, operational reports, and performance records.
  • Provide operational insights and voyage performance analysis to chartering and commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on freight collections, hire payments, claims management, and voyage settlements.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in dry bulk vessel operations, post-fixture management, or commercial shipping operations.
  • Strong understanding of charter parties, laytime, demurrage, and voyage execution.
  • Demonstrated experience managing international dry bulk vessel operations.
  • Sound knowledge of commercial shipping practices, voyage economics, and operational planning.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple voyages simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities with the confidence to engage across global counterparts.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of performing effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with voyage management systems and maritime software applications.
  • Knowledge of voyage P&L, cash flow management, freight settlements, and financial reporting will be an added advantage.
