Duties and Responsibilities

  • Volunteer management: Provide support across recruitment, engagement, retention, and recognition of volunteers in Yishun Town.
  • Outreach and promotion: Promote volunteerism and foster meaningful engagement with diverse stakeholders.
  • Partnership facilitation: Strengthen collaborations between community partners to address the needs of Yishun Town.
  • Capability building: Support community partners in enhancing their volunteer management capabilities by offering guidance and sharing development resources.
  • Event support: Assist with administration, manpower coordination, public speaking, and logistics for events.
  • Digital platforms and database management: Maintain online platforms for community outreach programmes, manage the volunteer management system database, perform administrative data entry, and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
  • Ad hoc duties: Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the parent organisation.
  • Weekend availability: Able to work on weekends on an ad hoc basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in volunteer management, preferably within the community and social service sector
  • Meticulous administration skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Bilingual in Communication
  • Excellent people skills and high emotional quotient (EQ)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth coordination and successful execution of volunteer programmes and events
  • Ability to plan, execute, and oversee events and engagement activities
  • Creative problem‑solving abilities
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable with public speaking
