Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and finance administration.
Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and prepare timely payments to maintain vendor relationships
- Prepare customer invoices, record receipts, and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure cash flow
- Prepare journal entries and assist in maintaining the General Ledger for accurate financial records
- Perform bank reconciliations and support month-end closing activities to ensure financial accuracy
- Maintain organized accounting records and file financial documents systematically
- Assist in preparing finance reports and audit schedules to support compliance and reporting needs
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal departments on finance-related matters
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned to support the finance team
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to manage financial data efficiently
- Experience with accounting software to streamline accounting processes
- Meticulous, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams
