IT SAP EWM Business Analyst

Contract duration: 2 years, starting from Aug 2026; latest start Sep 2026

The IT SAP EWM Business Analyst will work closely with business teams, Global and local IT, and external vendors to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable IT requirements for ERP and warehouse-related processes. The role will primarily support SAPEWM-related business analysis activities within an S/4HANA / ECC landscape, ensuring that requirements, process design, solution direction, testing and validation activities are aligned with business objectives and project governance.

Accountabilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to assess current processes, identify business needs, clarify pain points and define areas for improvement in line with project and strategic objectives.

• Define the appropriate business analysis approach based on project complexity, known assumptions, risks, constraints and dependencies; plan and manage own BA activities to meet agreed timelines and deliverables.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with business users, Global and local technology teams, ECS teams and third-party vendors; support communication, alignment and change management activities.

• Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including requirement elicitation, documentation, traceability, validation and change control.

• Translate business requirements into user stories, functional notes, process design inputs and design specifications covering functional design, user interface considerations and business process design.

• Partner closely with Global and local technology teams to ensure the proposed solution direction supports agreed business benefits and is feasible within the SAP EWM landscape.

• Review and assess solution proposals, fit-gap outcomes and design options, articulating business impact, readiness, value, risk and implementation considerations.

• Support business case and benefit-realization discussions by capturing business justification, expected value and key dependencies where required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end-to-end warehouse process maps covering relevant inbound, outbound, inventory, production interface and logistics execution processes.

• Prepare and refine EWM User Requirement Specifications, user stories and requirement documentation in collaboration with business users and IT teams.

• Establish an EWM delivery requirement framework based on existing KDD and USTO materials, ensuring consistency with project standards and business expectations.

• Participate in planning and co-lead project workshops with the relevant team, business stakeholders, Global/local IT and vendors.

• Track, follow up and resolve open action items related to BA deliverables, requirements, design clarifications and project decisions.

• Maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix and support traceability from requirements through design, testing and validation.

• Lead or support Fit-Gap Analysis and ensure gaps, assumptions, risks and proposed resolutions are clearly documented and tracked.

Review and support EWM integration technical design, Functional Specifications and Design Specifications, ensuring business requirements are properly reflected.

• Support Risk Impact Assessments and contribute to relevant project phase deliverables such as PIA, BIA, TIA, Fit-Gap Analysis, RID and related documentation.

• Support initial master data load activities and contribute to the Data Governance Plan from a business process and EWM requirements perspective.

• Drive end-to-end UAT scenario definition, test script preparation and test data creation with business teams; support test execution follow-up and defect clarification.

• Coordinate with business users and vendors to ensure BA-related deliverables are completed, reviewed and approved in line with the project schedule.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

- 5–8+ years of business analysis experience using BAtools and techniques to support business change and system implementation;

- strong SAP EWM implementation knowledge and hands-on experience;

- understanding of S/4HANA, ECC and warehouse /logistics execution processes;

- strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, communication and presentation skills;

- experience working with Global/local IT teams and third-party vendors;

- experience in a regulated environment; ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, process documentation, user stories, RTM, test scenarios and design inputs.
