Electrical Engineer (LV/HV)| Chemical Plant | Jurong Island

Jobscope:

• Manage and maintain electrical systems and power distribution up to 66kV.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Support the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Provide technical support for plant operations and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Prepare cost estimates and provide engineering support for plant projects.
• Train maintenance personnel on electrical safety and related procedures.
• Act as the technical focal point for electrical systems and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the E&I on-call rotation to provide technical support when required

Requirements:

•  Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Process Controls or equivalent
• Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in electrical engineering activities in the chemical or petrochemical industry
• Extensive knowledge of the current Siemens GIS and SCS
• Open-minded towards team concept
• Good communication skills and adaptive to cultural differences
• Ability to work with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and environmental concerns
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.)
• Usage and understanding of technical drawings such as P&ID's, electrical and instrument drawings and equipment manuals is a requirement for this position
• Willingness and ability to attend internal and external trainings, if necessary abroad
• This position requires a responsibility to assist with the production of the site which are in 24/7/365 operations and is therefore required to be on-call
• Candidate must be willing to work in Jurong Island (company transport provided)
