Engineer - Technical & Construction [Japanese Speaking]

Responsibilities

• Oversee project execution, scheduling, and progress monitoring across assigned construction activities.
• Prepare project reports in Japanese for headquarters reporting.
• Supervise subcontractors and site personnel, assign work tasks, and maintain accurate site progress records.
• Coordinate with the design team to review, clarify, and resolve design-related matters.
• Liaise with relevant project stakeholders to facilitate inspections and site compliance activities.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor and follow up on defect rectification and quality improvement measures.
• Track manpower deployment and project progress against schedules.
• Prepare and compile project handover documentation, including O&M manuals and relevant quality certification requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
