MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Responsibilities
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities for project vessels and marine equipment.
- Monitor vessel readiness and ensure maintenance schedules are carried out in a timely manner.
- Support dry-docking, vessel inspections, surveys, and certification activities.
- Coordinate with shipyards, contractors, vendors, and service providers for repair works and procurement of spare parts.
- Monitor machinery and equipment condition, investigate technical issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain maintenance records, technical reports, budgets, and equipment documentation.
- Assist in planning preventive maintenance and monitoring statutory and equipment expiry requirements.
- Support technical troubleshooting for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and marine equipment.
- Ensure maintenance works comply with company safety requirements and relevant regulations.
- Support project teams on technical matters and other engineering duties assigned by the department.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in marine, offshore, shipyard, or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Good knowledge of marine machinery, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, generators, and electrical systems.
- Experience in vessel repairs, dry-docking, preventive maintenance, and contractor coordination.
- Familiar with maintenance planning, spare parts management, and technical documentation.
- Able to read engineering drawings and prepare maintenance reports.
- Good communication and coordination skills with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to travel overseas to undeveloped countries.
