Job Summary
Prepare and manage cost comparisons, contract documentation, and procurement activities to ensure effective project cost control and contractual compliance as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse cost comparisons to support project budgeting and decision-making
- Provide accurate contract documents, correspondence, and information to ensure proper contractual performance
- Obtain quotations and negotiate effectively with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms
- Measure quantities and perform take-offs to support accurate cost estimation and billing
- Apply construction and engineering principles to assess project requirements and costs
- Utilize knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes to manage contractual obligations
- Analyse project costs to evaluate and manage budgets effectively
- Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlements, and sub-contractor payments to ensure accurate financial management
- Perform all other quantity surveying related tasks to support project delivery
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in main contracting companies
- Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration, and managing variation orders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proactive time management to meet tight deadlines
