Job Summary
The Receptionist and Veterinary Nurse/Technician roles support animal care and customer service through front desk management, clinical assistance, and practice upkeep at Animal World Veterinary Clinic.
Responsibilities
Receptionist
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide service across in-clinic, phone, and messaging platforms to ensure positive client experiences
- Schedule appointments and manage patient registration accurately to maintain clinic workflow
- Discharge patients and dispense medication following clinic protocols to support treatment continuity
- Provide simple advice and resolve minor complaints tactfully to maintain client satisfaction
- Process payments and perform daily account tallying to support financial accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and dispensary to ensure a professional environment
Veterinary Nurse/Technician
- Assist veterinarians by restraining animals safely during consultations and preparing for diagnostic and surgical procedures
- Administer treatment and care for inpatient animals to support recovery and health
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment
- Maintain and upkeep veterinary equipment and instruments to ensure operational readiness
- Support front desk operations during busy periods to facilitate smooth clinic functioning
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- General knowledge and background in a veterinary clinical setting (Receptionist)
- Proficiency in Ezyvet practice management software (Receptionist)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in veterinary nursing or technician role (Veterinary Nurse/Technician)
- Experience in venipuncture, including drawing blood and IV catheter placement (Veterinary Nurse/Technician)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team (Veterinary Nurse/Technician)
- Positive attitude with pleasant etiquette and ability to multitask under pressure (Receptionist)
- Strong work ethic and passion for the veterinary field (Veterinary Nurse/Technician)
