As a Credit Intern at Funding Societies, you will join a dynamic team driving our rapid growth. You will support our core lending decision processes by managing critical data and ensuring operational excellence. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and provide customer-centric support.
What you will do
- To assist in monitoring credit limits and exposure.
- To process trade drawdowns
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date credit files and documentation.
- To ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures.
- Assist in preparing credit reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the credit team.
- Collaborate with the credit team on data analysis and process improvement initiatives, leveraging tools such as SQL, Python, Activepieces, and Gemini to enhance workflow efficiency and risk insights.
Requirements
What we are looking for
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel and preferably G-Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills in credit analysis and risk management.
- Prior internship or work experience in finance or banking (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of financial markets, accounting principles, and credit risk concepts (preferred but not required).
Good to haves
- Coding/Automation: Basic proficiency or familiarity with SQL for data querying and Python for automation or data manipulation.
- Process Improvement Mindset: Demonstrable interest in optimizing workflows; experience or academic projects involving automation tools (like Activepieces, Zapier, or similar) is a plus.
- AI Familiarity: Awareness of generative AI capabilities (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) and how they can be applied to document summarization or report generation.
- Fintech Passion: A strong curiosity about the digital lending landscape and how technology can solve credit risk challenges.
