Java Backend Developer

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications for large-scale digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA, and DevOps engineers.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support.
• Follow secure coding practices and software development best practices.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong experience with Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Microservices.
• Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering projects for the Singapore Public Sector, Government Agencies, or Government-Linked Organizations (GLOs) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Singapore Government ICT standards, security practices, and project delivery methodologies is an advantage.
