Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of Japanese restaurant outlets to ensure high standards in food quality, service, and customer satisfaction while leading teams and managing costs and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of one or more Japanese restaurant outlets to maintain smooth and efficient functioning
- Ensure food quality, service standards, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction meet company expectations
- Lead, supervise, and train outlet managers and restaurant staff to enhance team performance and service delivery
- Monitor sales, labour costs, food costs, and overall operational performance to optimize profitability
- Manage manpower planning and staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety standards, and Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations
- Monitor inventory levels, purchasing activities, and stock control to maintain supply chain efficiency
- Handle customer feedback and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain positive customer relations
- Prepare operational reports and implement continuous improvements to enhance outlet performance
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in Japanese cuisine or Japanese restaurant operations
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, including at least 1 year in a managerial role
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays when required
- Strong leadership skills demonstrated by leading teams and managing outlet operations
- Effective communication skills applied in supervising staff and handling customer feedback
- Problem-solving skills used to resolve operational challenges and improve processes
