Camera Operator

MOVING VISUAL PTE. LTD.

Camera Operator (Live Event Broadcasting)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Singapore (on-site at event venues; occasional overseas assignments may apply)

About the Role

We are a live video broadcasting company covering concerts, conferences, corporate events, and large-scale productions. Unlike traditional film or post-produced video work, our output goes to air (or to screen) in real time — there are no second takes. We are looking for a Camera Operator who can consistently deliver clean, well-composed, broadcast-ready shots under live conditions, working as part of a multi-camera crew directed from a control room or vision mixing desk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate broadcast cameras (pedestal, tripod, handheld, and/or jib as assigned) during live events, delivering usable shots on cue.
  • Follow directions from the Director/Vision Mixer via talkback while independently framing, focusing, and anticipating the next shot.
  • Pre-empt the flow of live events (e.g. speaker movements, performer blocking, audience reactions) to offer strong shot options proactively.
  • Set up, rig, balance, and test camera systems, lenses, and associated equipment (CCUs, fibre/SDI runs, intercom) before each show.
  • Care for, pack, and transport equipment safely; report faults promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with the technical crew, stage managers, and clients on-site.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience operating cameras in live multi-camera environments (e.g. live event broadcast, live streaming, televised productions, house-of-worship or sports coverage), or equivalent training with a strong show reel of live work.
  • Ability to hold steady, well-composed shots for extended durations and execute smooth pans, tilts, and zooms on cue.
  • Familiarity with broadcast camera systems and lenses; experience with talkback/intercom discipline in a live crew.
  • Understanding of live production workflows (shot calling, camera numbering, preview/programme discipline).
  • Calm and focused under pressure; able to recover quickly and discreetly from on-air errors.
  • Good verbal communication
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, in line with event schedules.

What We Offer

  • Exposure to large-scale concerts, conferences, and headline events.
  • Structured on-the-job training and progression toward senior operator or technical director tracks.
  • Competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume, together with a portfolio of your video work if you have one (e.g. showreel, links to videos you have filmed or edited, or past event coverage). A portfolio is not required — any form of video camera or editing work is welcome. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

We are an equal opportunity employer. All applications will be assessed on the basis of qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience.
