Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to take charge of kitchen operations, including leading the staff in all matters related to food preparation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise food preparation tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations and high-quality output
- Lead and manage the food team to maintain health and safety standards in all kitchen activities
- Design and plan menus that are fresh, appealing, and well presented to enhance customer satisfaction
- Develop recipes and determine optimal presentation methods to create unique and delicious dishes
- Order food, kitchen equipment, and supplies while maintaining an accurate and updated inventory
- Coordinate with suppliers to verify correct deliveries and ensure pricing matches quotations
Required competencies and certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a head cook
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of current culinary trends to innovate menu offerings
- Proven ability to multitask and perform effectively in high-pressure kitchen environments
- Strong leadership and communication skills to guide and motivate kitchen staff
