The Role
Manage a team of sales professionals in ASEAN and provide leadership to drive new business and manage existing customers. Drives business development activities for high-profile named accounts and/or specific market segment(s) that lead to the expansion and growth of new businesses in the region. Plans, organizes, leads and controls balanced sales growth, continued account penetration and customer satisfaction on a long-term multi-year focus.
The Main Responsibilities
- Builds a high-performance sales & pre-sales team; hires and retains the right talent in the right roles; sets goals, delegates work, holds reports accountable; develops and empowers direct reports to make decisions and take appropriate actions
- Accountable for the maintenance, growth and increased profitability of existing accounts and the strategic direction of assigned accounts. Directs strategic, customer specific initiatives, which deliver "value added" services through the execution of customer specific account development plans
- Provides weekly accurate sales forecasts to management based on accurate & up-to-date SFDC information and one-on-one reviews of these opportunities with his/her team
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers at decision-making levels. Defines and executes sales strategies, and communicates clearly and concisely through professional presentations
- Leads sales and knowledge presentations for key customers and prospects. Maintains an expert knowledge of the customer's business products and services
- Drives business strategies to identify potential customers and penetrate new market opportunities the region
- Delivers accurate weekly forecast to the sales management and be responsible for accurate SFDC reporting, cleanup, and resolution of outstanding sales, revenue, and billing
- Demonstrates Company’s values, maintains a positive open demeanor, encourages different points of view, moves team forward through change; provides timely information; communicates context for business decisions; recognizes accomplishments; fosters teamwork and collaboration
- Facilitates good internal relationships among internal customers at all levels across the region to build a cohesive team to ensure targets are achieved
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ Marketing or Computer Sciences discipline (MBA preferred but not mandatory)
- At-least 15 years of relevant experience with at least 7 years of people management experience
- Experience in managing high-performance sales teams in similar industries and geographies (ASEAN experience is mandatory, international or other geographic experience would be an added-advantage)
- Must have extensive knowledge of the IT industry (preference would be given for experience in Network, Cloud Services and/or Managed Services and/or CyberSecurity Services,)
- Ability to leverage or develop strong relations with customers at decision-making levels
- Must be able to define and execute sales strategies and communicate clearly and concisely through professional presentations
- Must show demonstrated success in dealing with large complex accounts, have a history of running and managing groups/accounts and not only thrive on changes, but drive it as well.
- Must be result-oriented and have a proven track record showing high leadership qualities.
- Must be able to work productively in a matrix team environment.
- Must be well-organized, able to change focus and reassess priorities quickly
- Must be possess excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Needs a financial understanding of Total Cost of Ownership model
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including an energetic, enthusiastic, and compelling sales presence
- Viewed as a Trusted Advisor by their customers
- Operates at the executive level consistently
- Flexible and open to business travel
- Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
